In Outlook 2003, you need to go to View menu, Arrange By, Current view to find the Customize view command. In Outlook 2007, you'll look at View, Current View, Customize View. If Outlook doesn’t resolve it immediately, you can press Alt+K to force auto-resolve. If you type just enough of the group name to be unique, Outlook will resolve the name to the contact group when you tab out of the field. Go to the View menu and look for Custom… or Customize View. If you are using Outlook 2007 or an earlier version, the Customize view dialog is a few steps away.

I've used my notes fields within Contacts for years, and now as hw form factors get more impressive following Surface (following Mac Book). Let them know this is a regression at best, and at worst a 'take-back' if they choose not to fix. Yes- count mine as another vote in your feedback to the team. if you revert 'Change the size of text, apps, and other items' back to 100% (on my tablet 150% is recommended given a 1920x1080 resolution), then you can effectively scroll within the notes field in a Contact (which otherwise often becomes inaccessible if you have a lot of notes), along w/easily seeing the full contact card on screen. As you've highlighted, the issue seems to be related to Outlook's 'new' inability to properly scale when and layout is anything >100%.
